This 1/2 day hands on workshop is great for anyone who wants to learn the basics of making bread by hand. Learn to mix and shape doughs, make a high tin loaf, rolls, french sticks and coffee scrolls. Focaccia, Crusty Rolls and Doughnuts
This 1/2 day hands on workshop is suitablefor anyone who has learnt the basics of bread making and wants more. Learn to make focaccia, crusty rolls and melt in your mouth doughnuts (deep fried but definitely not greasy!). Participants will be able to take home their freshly baked goodies. CHOCOLATE TECHNIQUES
This 1/2 day hands on workshop is perfect for those who have an interest in learning the many techniques of decorating cakes with chocolate. The workshop includes covering cakes, making chocolate panels, wraps, chards, spikes, truffles, curling and dipping. Each participant will go home with their beautifully decorated cake. TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS CAKE
This 2 week, 6 hours course will teach you the skills to successfully ice and decorate a Christmas cake (or any celebration cake). Cover a Christmas cake with almond and fondant ready to roll icing then decorate with beautiful sugar art Christmas roses, holly and pine cones.

CUPCAKES
Good for ideas and tips if you have a birthday coming up or a special occasion where you need to bring a plate. This 2 hour class is a mix of demonstration and hands on with simple techniques for making and decorating cupcakes. Aimed at the novice, using buttercream you will learn a range of piping skills and easy, effective decorating ideas. Cost $15 for Marg & Maree members, $25 for non members, all inclusive. BEGINNERS FLOWER CLASSES
These classes will be held over 3 weeks with each session running for 2 hours. You will make fabulous life like roses, sweetpea and jasmine all arranged in a beautiful spray suitable for the top of a celebration cake such as wedding, engagement, 21st, anniversary and special birthday. Learn techniques using cutters and also hand moulded flowers and leaves. The class will also include a few little pieces suitable for cupcakes. Cost $50 plus materials. Maximum partipants 10.

We are very excited to now offer Wilton’s Cake Decorating Course 1. Learn the Wilton method of cake decorating covering, working with buttercream, borders, icing flowers and the Wilton Rose, writing, drop flowers, stars and shells, figure piping, character cakes, pattern transfers and more. The course runs over 4 weeks.

WILTON’S CAKE DECORATING COURSE - Fondant and Gum Paste - NEW !!!!!
For those who are eager to learn more wonderful Wilton skills. In this 4 week course you’ll explore an incredible array of richly detailed flowers, borders and accents using these dough like icings. Begin by creating the perfect smooth surface to show off your decorations, as you cover a cake and base board with fondant. Learn the secrets of handling, cutting and tinting fondant and gum paste. Add beautiful textured effects such as punched strips and appliques. And create the perfect finishing touch to your cakes as you craft many breathtaking blossoms, including a multi-layer fantasy flower.

Debbie Brown is an accomplished Sugarcraft Modelling author and tutor based in West London/Surrey, UK, she travels the world to demonstrate and teach techniques to help create and further enthusiasm for this amazing craft. We are delighted to welcome Debbie back to Marg and Maree’s for 2 demonstrations and 1 workshop in June, 2010.
The demonstration themes are Baby Ballerina and Pirate Dreams, the hands on workshop is a Fire Dragon and Castle.
